Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week: Constance Nankivell, Trinity Western

Constance Nankivell won the Pacific Lutheran University Invitational – her very first race as a TWU Spartan – as she completed the six-kilometre course in a time of 21:01.1 on Saturday. The Scot won the race, which included numerous NCAA Division II athletes from the Pacific Northwest, by approximately 40 seconds.

Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week: Thomas Laviolette, Montréal

  • Program: Aerospace Engineering

Thomas Laviolette won the McGill Invitational – held on Saturday at Mount Royal – in just 18 minutes and 47 seconds, winning the first cross-country race of the RSEQ season. He was able to maintain a pace of 3 minutes and eight seconds over the six-kilometre course to beat a racer from McGill University. Thanks to Laviolette's excellent performance, the Carabins men's team finished in fourth place.
