Championships Men’s Final 8

The U SPORTS Men’s and Women's Basketball National Championships will be coming to Canada’s capital from March 5-8, 2020. For the first time in U SPORTS history, one city will host the national championships of both genders, in a joint effort between the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, and the Ottawa Sports & Entertainment Group (OSEG).

With The Arena at TD Place as the primary venue for the action, this will be a unique opportunity for basketball fans to experience both men’s and women’s National Championships in Canada’s basketball capital. Fans will have the chance to experience history in the making, as this marks the first time in Canadian history that both tournaments will be held concurrently in the same location.

Full tournament passes are now available for purchase through the TD Place website at tdplace.ca. Tournament pass holders will be granted access to all games at TD Place, as well as consolation bracket matchups at Carleton’s Ravens’ Nest.

With 22 games slated to be played over the course of four days, fans can purchase regular seat passes for $150.00, premium seat passes for $185.00, or courtside seat passes for $250.00 per person.

In the heart of Lansdowne Live, Ottawa’s go-to entertainment destination, the over 9,000-seat Arena at TD Place will transform into the epicenter of Canadian university basketball come March.

The respective Final 8 Championships will feature 16 of the nation’s elite men’s and women’s basketball programs, including guaranteed appearances by the Ottawa Gee-Gees men’s and Carleton Ravens women’s teams.

Meanwhile, the defending National Champion Ravens men’s team and 2019 National Bronze Medalist Gee-Gees women’s team will have to battle their way into contention by earning berths to their respective tournaments.

The 2019-20 U SPORTS basketball regular season tips off in October with 48 schools from coast-to-coast vying for a chance to take to the floor at TD Place in March.

Stay tuned to the TD Place, Gee-Gees, and Ravens’ websites for information regarding single-game ticket sales and other news surrounding the 2020 U SPORTS Final 8 Championships.
