Championships Men’s Hockey

The Calgary Dinos remained the top-ranked team in the U SPORTS men’s hockey Top 10 after sweeping the Mount Royal Cougars in a two-game series last week. The Dinos (21-3-0) are spending their fourth straight week atop the table, having not dropped out of the U SPORTS Top 10 since October 2022.

Saint Mary’s (17-9-0) made the biggest move of the week as the Huskies shot up from the No. 10 spot to No. 6 after a win against UPEI on Friday.

The top three remained unchanged from last week, with No. 2 UNB REDS (21-3-2) and No. 3 UQTR Patriotes (19-4-1) holding steady, while the No. 4 Alberta Golden Bears and No. 5 Mount Royal Cougars traded places in the top five.

The UBC Thunderbirds (16-6-2) dropped to the No. 7 spot from No. 6 as the Concordia Stingers (16-7-0) held steady at No. 8 in the rankings. The Windsor Lancers (16-4-3) and Brock Badgers (16-7-0) enter the rankings in the No. 9 and No. 10 spots, respectively.

There is one Top 10 matchup this week as No. 2 UNB hosts No. 6 Saint Mary’s on Friday.
