Championships Mitchell Bowl

U SPORTS today announced the broadcasters for the 2023 bowl games on Saturday. The Road to the Canada Life Vanier Cup and the 2023 Uteck and Mitchell Bowls will be broadcast exclusively in English on CBC Gem and CBCSports.ca, while the TVA Sports and TVA+ digital platform are home for all of the action in French.

Coverage of the Uteck Bowl starts the day at noon Eastern, with the Montréal Carabins, who won the Dunsmore Cup last week, taking on the OUA champion Western Mustangs. The doubleheader concludes with the Mitchell Bowl in Vancouver, B.C., with the host UBC Thunderbirds, who won the Hardy Cup on a last-second touchdown last week, taking on the STFX X-Men, who are in their sixth bowl game since 2015.

Veteran McGill play-by-play announcer Moe Khan calls the Uteck Bowl alongside former Concordia Stingers defensive end and current McMaster football analyst Andrew Barlett on CBC Gem. U SPORTS produces the game in association with TVA Sports and Mediapro Canada.

Legendary CBC play-by-play announcer and former Carleton Ravens quarterback Mark Lee joins PRSVRE football analyst Dashawn Stephens on the call of the 2023 Mitchell Bowl. Lee and Stephens will also handle the play-by-play duties of the Canada Life Vanier Cup on November 26. The Mitchell Bowl is a production of U SPORTS and Mediapro in association with TVA Sports.

TVA Sports:

TVA Sports’ coverage of the Uteck Bowl will involve their main broadcasting team led by legendary play-by-play announcer Denis Casavant and former McGill star receiver turned analyst Charles-Antoine Sinotte while Justine St-Martin hosts the network’s coverage of the Montreal-Western clash. This crew will provide complete coverage of the Canada Life Vanier Cup in Kingston, Ont. next weekend.

In the other semifinal, long-time broadcaster Yves Paquet is joined by five-time Vanier Cup champion and current Collège Montmorency athletic director Duane John for all Mitchell Bowl action.
