Offensive Player of the Week: Taylor Elgersma, Laurier

Taylor Elgersma was responsible for six of Laurier’s touchdowns on Saturday as the Golden Hawks ran past their crosstown rivals from Waterloo, 69-0, in their OUA quarterfinal. Elgersma went 20-for-22 passing for 360 yards and three touchdowns. Two of his scoring passes came in the last two minutes of the second half, as he connected with Quentin Scott on a 53-yarder and Ethan Jordan from 51 yards to blow the game open. On the ground, Elgersma added another three touchdown runs as the No. 3-ranked Golden Hawks cruised to the win, setting up a semifinal date with No. 9 Windsor this week.

Defensive Player of the Week: Muftah Ageli, Windsor

Muftah Ageli was a pivotal part of the Windsor defence that held strong in a 14-11 OUA quarterfinal win over the Carleton Ravens. The Lancers held Carleton, who had averaged 28.25 points per game in the regular season, to just nine offensive points. Ageli made seven tackles in the contest (five solo, four assisted), added two tackles for loss – including a half-sack – and recovered a fumble as the No. 9-ranked Lancers survived and advanced to play Laurier in this week’s OUA semifinal.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Louis Tardif, Sherbrooke
- Position: Place Kicker
- Hometown: Quebec City, Que.
- Year of eligibility: 5th

With Sherbrooke needing to win by 13 points to make the RSEQ playoffs, Louis Tardif did that and more for the Vert & Or on Saturday against McGill. He made all five of his field goal attempts, hitting from 20, 17, 14, 24 and 41 yards, as well as all three of his conversion attempts and a single point on a kickoff, to finish with 19 points on the day. He saved Sherbrooke’s season with 2:04 left in the game. With Sherbrooke up 10, but their drive having stalled at the McGill 34, the fifth-year senior made no mistake, sending a 41-yard field goal through the uprights and the Vert & Or to the RSEQ semifinals.
