CSTA brings event-hosting expertise to university sports in Canada
Promutuel Insurance has been named the presenting sponsor of the 54th Vanier Cup, which will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at TELUS-Université Laval Stadium in Québec City.
The announcement was made Tuesday morning at a media conference hosted at PEPS, on the campus of Université Laval, with representatives from U SPORTS, the university’s Athletic Department, the Local Organizing Committee and the event’s new partner in attendance.
Promutuel Insurance is one of the largest property and casualty insurers in Québec. It supports causes, initiatives and events that contribute to the economic and social well-being/health of the territories it has served for more than 165 years.
"It is a great pleasure for Promutuel Insurance to contribute to the hosting of such a great sporting event in Québec City. We will be there, in the heart of the festivities and with the public to attend this great game – the Vanier Cup," said Claude Frenette, General Manager of Promutuel Insurance Portneuf-Champlain.

On behalf of myself and the organizing committee, I would like to sincerely thank them for this renewed commitment, since they also presented the 2015 Vanier Cup," said Vanier Cup Organizing Committee President Christian Côté.

Sportsnet and TVA Sports are once again the official broadcasters of the U SPORTS football semifinals and final in 2018. The Mitchell Bowl (CW at OUA) and Uteck Bowl (AUS at RSEQ) are set for Saturday, Nov. 17, while the 54th Vanier Cup Presented by Promutuel Insurance follows on Saturday, Nov. 24 at TELUS-UL Stadium in Quebec City.
