For the second straight year, the McMaster Marauders have been awarded the hosting rights for the U SPORTS East-West Bowl. The 2023 edition of the annual contest is set to take place on Saturday, May 13th at Ron Joyce Stadium.

"The Marauders are excited to present this year's event as a showcase of U SPORTS and Canadian football," said McMaster head coach Stefan Ptaszek. "We plan on offering these elite student-athletes the showcase they deserve."

McMaster will serve as host to 90 of the top Canadian university football players eligible for the 2024 CFL Draft, each looking to showcase their skills to coaches, general managers and personnel from the Canadian Football League. All participating U SPORTS student-athletes will vie for coveted spots on the CFL Scouting Bureau Top 20 Prospects List.

Game time is set for 4pm ET on May 13th. Tickets for the game are now available at www.marauders.ca/tickets. Adult tickets are $15 and youth (4 to 18 years) tickets can be purchased for $5.

"We are thrilled for the opportunity to host the East-West Bowl for the second consecutive year and to provide a platform for U SPORTS football student-athletes to showcase their skills," said Keenan Jeppesen, Associate Director, High Performance, McMaster. "It’s always exciting when you can bring together this much talent in one place and we are looking forward to Ron Joyce Stadium being this year’s backdrop."

The list of student-athletes invited to the 2023 event will be released on Monday, April 17th.
