Montréal quarterback Jonathan Sénécal continued his strong season as he led his Montréal Carabins to a 28-0 win over their arch-nemesis Laval. Sénécal completed 24 of 29 passes for 252 yards, including one touchdown. He also led all rushers with 61 yards on six carries, including a five-yard run in the first quarter that opened the scoring. With the win, the No. 2-ranked Carabins clinched first place and ensured that the road to the Dunsmore Cup will go through the CEPSUM.

Defensive Player of the Week: Daniel Flanagan, Calgary

Flanagan and his Calgary teammates turned heads on the weekend, shutting down high-flying UBC with a 20-6 upset victory to keep. The Dinos defensive unit was crucial to the win – their first of the season, keeping a T-Birds team that entered the game averaging 53.5 points per game off the board until the fourth quarter. Flanagan led all players with eight tackles, including six solos and four assisted tackles. He was a thorn in the side of Thunderbird quarterbacks, delivering two fourth-quarter sacks of Garrett Rooker for a total loss of 18 yards.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Brandon Forcier, Carleton

Brandon Forcier keyed the Carleton Ravens’ 31-30 come-from-behind victory over Waterloo last weekend. The visiting Ravens trailed 30-10 late in the third quarter, and after a pair of touchdowns cut the gap to 30-24, Forcier took over. He hit a 22-yarder with 5:16 left to make the score 30-27, tied the game with 43 seconds left on a 47-yard kick and kicked a 47-yard single on the final play of the game to give the Ravens the walk-off win and a berth in the OUA playoffs. Forcier ended the day with 13 points, as he made three of five field goal attempts and added three conversions to his game-winning rouge.
