CALGARY – Meaghan Mealey, Savannah Purdy, Ansah Odoom and Avery Heppell all finished with double-digit kills as the Trinity Western Spartans outlasted a spirited effort from the host University of Calgary Dinos, 3-1 (20-25, 25-16, 25-10, 25-21), Friday evening in a quarter-final matchup at the U SPORTS Women’s Volleyball Championship from the Jack Simpson Gym.

The No. 8 Dinos got a boost from their frenzied home crowd to take the opening set, but the No. 1 Spartans answered back emphatically in sets two and three before outlasting a Calgary rally in the fourth.
