Ex-Dalhousie star Lawrence continues to finish on the court

U SPORTS Staff
The defending U SPORTS champion McGill Martlets are once again the No.1 women’s basketball team in the nation.
McGill (7-1), idle over the weekend, reclaimed top spot for the first time since the opening poll of the season after then-No.1 Acadia (11-1) split a pair of games, including an 88-68 upset at the hands of unranked UPEI on Saturday. The Martlets return to the court this weekend in a home-and-home series with Bishop’s.
In other U SPORTS rankings, Carleton (men’s basketball), UNB (men’s hockey), UBC (men’s and women’s swimming, women’s volleyball), Trinity Western (men’s volleyball), Guelph (men’s and women’s track and field), Alberta (women’s hockey, men’s wrestling) and Brock (women’s wrestling) all remain national leaders for another week.
