U SPORTS announced Thursday that Kobe Sportswear has been named the new official outfitter of its Men’s and Women’s Hockey All-Star Teams.

The partnership will see the 2019 U SPORTS Women’s Hockey All-Stars outfitted by new Kobe-produced uniforms at the upcoming Hockey Canada Summer Showcase taking place in Calgary.

“We are thrilled to align ourselves with a reputable Canadian organization, such as U SPORTS, while continuing to support the development of men's and women's hockey in Canada," said Ryan Donnan, Vice President, Kobe Sportswear.”

The U SPORTS All-Stars are participating in the Summer Showcase for the fourth consecutive year, as part of the BFL National Women’s Development Team Selection Camp. Teams participating include the national development squads from France, Japan and Russia alongside a pair of Team Canada squads, whoare vying for roster spots for an upcoming three-game series against the United States.

"Kobe Sportswear has been a Canadian leader in custom hockey apparel for nearly three decades,” said U SPORTS President and CEO Graham Brown. “We are excited to watch U SPORTS’ finest student-athletes compete against nationally and internationally-recognized talent in the Summer Showcase, as well as the Men’s All-Star Series sporting Kobe apparel.”

Kobe Sportswear will outfit the U SPORTS Men’s Hockey All-Stars in December, when they face Hockey Canada’s World Junior prospects as part of the National Junior Team’s Selection Camp.

The puck drops on the Summer Showcase Sunday when U SPORTS faces Team Russia in a simulation game at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT. Full coverage is available here.
