University of Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s basketball team a welcome haven for Ukrainian nationals
The Acadia Axewomen (4-0) open the U SPORTS Women’s Basketball ranking at No. 1. following a weekend sweep (63-55, 88-60) of the UPEI Panthers at the Stu Aberdeen Court in Wolfville. Haley McDonald led the Axewomen to victory with a combined 50 points over the weekend.
No. 2 Regina Cougars and No. 3 UFV Cascades are the next top teams in the nation, both with 2-0 records on the season following back-to-back wins over Brandon and MacEwan, respectively.
