Queen’s resumes their reign atop women’s basketball rankings
Rachel Farwell and David Walker, both from Toronto Metropolitan, have been named the U SPORTS basketball players of the week for the period ending February 26, 2023.

Rachel Farwell of Toronto Metropolitan scored 50 points over the Bold’s two playoff games last week. In Wednesday’s 69-46 first-round win against the Western Mustangs, the fourth-year forward collected 21 points and nine rebounds. In the close 64-67 OUA quarterfinal loss on Saturday against the U SPORTS second-ranked Carleton Ravens, Farwell closed out her season with 29 points, five rebounds and five assists.

David Walker averaged 32 points as TMU took on the McMaster Marauders and the Ottawa Gee-Gees last week. Walker scored 29 points, one rebound, four assists and one steal in a 104-92 victory over the Marauders. On Saturday, the third-year guard had an impressive season-high 35 points and two rebounds. The Torontonian also added two assists, three blocks and a steal in a 73-72 hard-fought quarter-final defeat.
