Academic Program: Kinesiology and Health StudiesJade Belmore of the University of Regina Cougars had a great weekend for herself. The Cougars faced the then number one ranked University of Saskatchewan Huskies over a two game road trip. Belmore scored 31 points in Friday’s 69-62 meeting against the Huskies, shooting 10 for 14 field goals in the process, tacking on seven rebounds and two assits. In Saturday’s game, although the Cougars fell short in a 90-57 loss, Belmore still had eight points, four rebounds, and four assists to finish the night.

The Cougars find themselves back on homecourt to face the Winnipeg Wesmen next Friday and Saturday.

Haris Elezovic, Laval

  • Academic Program: Business Administration

Haris Elezovic of the Laval Rouge et Or had himself an impressive weekend, securing two wins in a home-and-home series against the UQAM Citadins. In Thursday’s game, Elezovic finished with 26 rebounds, along with 12 points, three assists and three steals to secure the 67-64 win over the Citadins in Montreal. Elezovic followed that up with 22 points, 12 rebounds and two assists in Saturday’s 84-72 victory at home.

The Rouge et Or are back in action this Thursday and Saturday playing against the McGill Redbirds.
