Men’s Quarterfinal 3: UBC dominates Bishop’s to advance to semifinals

Grant Audu scored 25 points and added seven rebounds as the UBC Thunderbirds dominated the Bishop’s Gaiters 103-66 in their men’s quarterfinal game at the 2020 U SPORTS Final 8 Basketball Championships on Friday at The Arena at TD Place.

Jadon Cohee added 15 points, five rebounds, and four assists for UBC, while Ibrahim Ngom had 16 points and three assists in a losing cause for Bishop’s.

UBC shot 50 per cent from the field and 45.8 per cent from three, compared to the Gaiters’ 28.2 per cent shooting and 22.2 percent from beyond the arc.

With the win, UBC advances to play the winner of Dalhousie/Ottawa on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET in the men’s semifinal, while Bishop’s takes on the loser in the men’s consolation semifinal at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Ravens Nest
