Women’s Cross Country
Back to Boyd: Branna MacDougall returns home

U SPORTS Staff
The Queen’s Gaels (women) and reigning champion Laval Rouge et Or (men) remain on top of the U SPORTS cross country rankings in the second poll of the season.
Queen’s continued their reign atop the women’s national rankings as transfer Brannna MacDougall registered the Gaels’ second consecutive individual and team win, crossing the Western Invitational finish line in 20:45. In men’s competition, 2016 U SPORTS individual champion Yves Sikubwabo of Laval clocked in at 25:51.70, to claim first place at Sherbrooke’s Vert & Or Invitational. Up next, they’ll host the Rouge et Or Invitational, an AUS-RSEQ interlock meet on Oct. 7.
In men’s soccer, after starting the season unranked, Montreal reached the No.2 position following a steady climb over the last four weeks. Alberta stays at No.1, while Laval (women’s soccer) and StFX (women’s rugby) all remain national leaders for another week.
