Glynis Sim claimed individual gold at the 2022 U SPORTS cross-country championship in Halifax, leading the UBC Thunderbirds women's team to a silver medal finish in their best-ever performance at a U SPORTS national championship. Sim completed the eight-kilometre race at the Links at Brunello Golf Course in a time of 28:19, beating Laval’s Jessy Lacourse to the finish line by 12 seconds.

Max Turek (Whitby, Ont.) led the McMaster Marauders to their first U SPORTS cross-country title since 1963, after winning the men’s individual title in a time of 24:21 at the Links at Brunello Golf Course in Halifax, N.S. on Saturday. The fifth-year runner averaged a pace of 3:03 over the 8-kilometre race.
