Élisa Tripotin made history for not only herself but for the UQAM Citadins at the Vert & Or Invitational in Sherbrooke, Quebec last weekend. She won her first career individual goal medal, and is only the second Citadin to win an individual gold medal. She completed the 8km race in 30:32, 39 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher. Tripotin and her Citadin teammates will run in Rawdon on October 28th for the RSEQ conference championships.
Jude Wheeler-Dee led the Queen’s Gaels to the team gold medal at the Bayfront Classic in Hamilton, Ont., last weekend. Wheeler-Dee took the individual gold by crossing the finish line with a time of 24:14.2 in the eight-kilometer race. It was a podium sweep for the Gaels, as Miles Brackenbury and Will Cox followed close behind. The Gaels are back in action when will run for the OUA championships on Saturday, Oct 28, which will be hosted by the Waterloo Warriors.
