During Saturday RSEQ Championship race in Rawdon, Beauchemin simply left the field in her wake. She finished the race with a time of 29:46.7, an astonishing 50 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. Her result led Laval to the team championship, their third straight conference title. Beauchemin and the rest of the Rouge et Or will take their talents to the U SPORTS Championship on Sunday, Nov. 12 in London, Ont.
Davies cleared the course in an impressive 23:40 and was the first of four straight UBC finishers. The first-place finish for the first-year law student from Sarnia, Ont. helped the T-Birds coast to their third straight team championship. Having conquered the conference, Newlove, Davies and the T-Birds will shift their focus to the upcoming U SPORTS Championships which take place on Sunday, Nov. 12 in London, Ont.
