The UBC Thunderbirds (20-2-2) remained the top-ranked team in the U SPORTS women’s hockey Top 10 after sweeping the MacEwan Griffins at home in a two-game series, winning 4-1 on Friday and 5-2 on Saturday.

There was no movement within the top six teams, as No. 2 Toronto (19-2-0), No. 3 Concordia (16-3-1), No. 4 Alberta (20-5-1), No. 5 UNB (19-2-3) and No. 6 Waterloo (18-4-0) all held onto their spots.

The STFX X-Women (17-4-3) and Guelph Gryphons (14-4-4) each climbed two spots this week, with the X-Women going to No. 7 and the Gryphons to No. 8. The Ottawa Gee-Gees (13-5-1) and Mount Royal Cougars (16-5-3) join the Top 10 this week – at No. 9 and No. 10 – with a pair of wins each.

This week’s women’s hockey schedule features one Top 10 matchup as the Varsity Blues travel to Guelph to play the Gryphons on Wednesday.
