Alexia Stratos, TMU

Alexia Stratos of Toronto Metropolitan is named the U SPORTS female hockey player of the week. The sophomore had an impressive weekend, scoring two shutouts making this her third straight victory since her debut in early February. On Thursday night, Stratos made a 27-save shutout against York, and then she followed that up on Friday night with a 41-save shutout against Laurier. Stratos completed this weekend with a stellar .979 save percentage.

Toronto Metropolitan closes out the regular season this Thursday to take on Toronto at Varsity Arena.

Leon Sommer, TWU

Leon Sommer of Trinity Western is the U SPORTS male hockey player of the week, after leading the Spartans to consecutive wins over Top 10 teams for the first time in program history. On Tuesday, he stopped an incredible 52 shots, as he led Trinity Western to a 2-1 (SO) win over then-No. 9-ranked Saskatchewan. On Friday, he made 41 saves in a 4-3 win over then-No. 8 Alberta.

Last weekend closed out the season for Trinity Western, who did not qualify for the Canada West playoffs.
