Queen's Gaels Men's Hockey goaltender Luke Richardson has been added to the Tampa Bay Lightning's 2022 Development Camp roster. Richardson is in a group of four goaltenders attending camp with the Lightning which begins today and runs until Thursday.

Richardson (Barrie, Ont.), who started 11 games for the Gaels this past season, led the OUA in wins (10), save percentage (.944), and goals against average (1.34) this season.

"Luke is a steady and calm presence in the net," said Brett Gibson, Head Coach of Queen's Men's Hockey. "He brings stability and assurance to our team."

In 30 games for Queen's in 2019-20, Richardson recorded a .904 save percentage and 2.67 GAA. Prior to his time with the Gaels, Richardson spent four seasons with the Kitchener Rangers in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

Richardson was named an OUA All-Star and a U SPORTS Second Team All-Canadian for the 2021-22 season and was also named the OUA Goaltender of the Year for the Far East and East Divisions.
