McMaster Marauders @ Trent Excalibur

With U SPORTS Rugby in action for the first time this season, the McMaster Marauders will travel to Peterborough, Ont. to take on the Trent Excalibur in an important early-season test.

The Marauders finished last season with a 2-2 regular-season record in the tough OUA Shiels Division.

McMaster’s Katie McLeod finished the 2021 season eighth in the OUA with 29 total points. McLeod scored three tries and added seven conversions in the shortened season.

Trent finished the 2021 season with a 3-1 record in the OUA Russell Division, outscoring their opponents 141 to 94 in the process.

Inside centre Maddy Moodie was a revelation for the Excalibur last season, scoring a try while adding four converts for 13 points. Without Alex Van der Horst and Caleigh McMillan on the pitch, Trent will rely on Moodie for offensive production.
