Ottawa blanks UPEI

VICTORIA (U SPORTS) – Four Ottawa student-athletes scored tries during the Gee-Gees 36-0 shutout victory over the UPEI Panthers on November 2 in their quarterfinal game at the 2022 U SPORTS Women’s Rugby Championship on Wednesday.

 Ottawa’s tries were scored by Ngozi Mosindi (3rd minute), Ketsia Kamba (7, 28, and 32nd minutes), Claire Gallagher (41st minute) and Jamie-Lee Walker (59th minute) while recording their third shutout of the season as a team.

With this win, Ottawa advances to play the winner of Queen’s/Victoria on Friday, November 4, in the semifinals, while UPEI takes on the loser of Queen’s/Victoria in the consolation semifinal, November 4 at 3 p.m. PT.
