The UBC Thunderbirds continue to soar atop the U SPORTS women’s soccer top 10 after a pair of wins last weekend in Canada West action against Manitoba Bisons and Winnipeg Wesmen

Thunderbird forward Rebecca Morgan solidified UBC’s five game winning streak two minutes into stoppage time after receiving a skillful behind-the-back pass from second year midfielder Ella Sunde and sent the ball flying into the Manitoba net to win the game 2-1. Less than 24 hours later veteran forward Danielle Steer led the 5-0 victory against Winnipeg with two goals and an assist.

No. 2 Trinity Western Spartans and No. 3 Montreal Carabins maintain their rankings meanwhile No. 4 Laval Rouge et Or and No. 5 Ottawa Gee-Gees switch rankings.

No. 7 MacEwan Griffins slide up two spots following back-to-back road victories against the UNBC Timberwolves and Calgary Dinos.

The only team to enter the Top 10 this week are No. 9 Cape Breton Capers who posted back-to-back wins over the Memorial Sea-Hawks to move into the rankings.
