Montreal Carabins @ Laval Rouge et Or

The Laval Rouge et Or will host the Montréal Carabins in a rivalry game to kick off the first weekend soccer slate in RSEQ action.

In a rematch of the 2021 RSEQ Conference Championship, the Carabins will be looking for revenge after falling to the Rouge et Or in penalties a season ago.

In 2021 regular-season play, Montréal topped the table with a 13-0-1 record, while Laval took the second spot with a 10-1-3 record.

Laval striker Joëlle Mercier led the RSEQ conference in points last year, scoring nine goals and adding a pair of assists. The Rouge et Or will look to 2021 second-team -Canadian, Mercier, as their prime offensive option on attack.

Maxyme Nobert led the Carabins scoring attack, netting eight goals and an assist during the 2021 campaign. The 2021 first-team RSEQ All-Star will undoubtedly be a focal point in the Carabins offense.
