The Gee-Gees are back on the national podium, their last time being the 2018 national championships when they won the gold. The Capers end the tournament in fourth place, equal to their ranking when they entered the championship.

U SPORTS Player of the Year Soumaya Bouak set the play that opened the score in the 26th minute after breaking through on the right flank. She crossed the ball to Cassandra Provost, whose shot was partially stopped by keeper Haley Kardas. The ball still bounced across the goal line to make it 1-0 for Ottawa.

The Gee-Gees doubled their lead in the 62nd minute. A tackle on Olivia Allen in the box led to a penalty and Angelina Gendreau placed the ball in the back of the net. The story repeated itself in the 73rd minute, and this time it was Ella Chase who fell on the tackle at the top of the box and Katerine Delev who converted the shot for the third and final goal of the game.
