Women’s Soccer Player of the Week: Kayley Lidstone, Victoria

Kayley Lidstone led the UVic Vikes in a pair of wins this past week over the UNBC Timberwolves and UBC Thunderbirds last week as she kept two clean sheets. Lidstone had two saves and shutout UNBC 1-0 on Friday. On Sunday, the former Claremont Spartan made eight saves in a 2-0 shut out of then-undefeated UBC, who had come into the game with an 8-0 record.

Men’s Soccer Player of the Week: Alessio Carbone, York

Alessio Carbone led the York Lions to a pair of wins over the McMaster Marauders last week. Carbone had two saves in 1-0 win over the Marauders on Friday and seven saves in 1-0 win in the second game on Sunday. Carbone and the Lions will return to the field next Friday for a home game against the Guelph Gryphons.
