Gabriel Mastromatteo, Toronto

This past weekend, Toronto’s Gabe Mastromatteo led the Varsity Blues to victory in their Tri-Meet against Calgary and Ottawa. The commerce student placed first overall in the 100m breaststroke (1:00.42) and set a meet record in the 200m breaststroke (2:13.12). Mastromatteo also added a 200m medley relay win (1:38.56).

The Blues are back in action on February 16 for the OUA Championships in St. Catharines.

Alexanne Lepage, Calgary

Alexanna Lepage led the way for Calgary in last weekend’s tri-meet in Toronto. Lepage, the Canada West Swimmer of the Year, picked up three individual wins this past weekend in the 100m breaststroke (1:08.33), 200m breaststroke (2:27.59) and the 200m individual medley (2:13.41).

Alexanne along with the Dinos are back in the pool for the annual Colleges Cup - Mountain this Friday and Saturday at the University of Calgary Aquatic Centre.
