1. What are your thoughts on representing Team Canada at a major international event, and most specifically at the 2019 FISU Summer Universiade?

It was a very big goal for me to be part of Team Canada at the FISU Games. So I feel very honoured to be able to run again for Canada. Moreover, it’s a great source of motivation before and after, because I will be eligible for the next Universiade.

2. Is this the first time you have been selected to represent Canada on the international stage or at the Universiade? Current track record (national and/or international)?

Regarding FISU, it will be my first time competing at this event. However, this will be my fifth participation on the national team, at the junior or senior level. I had the opportunity to participate last year at the Jeux de la Francophonie on the Canadian team, where I finished in fourth place.

3. What are you most looking forward to in Naples, Italy outside of the competition?

Last year, I had the chance to visit the city of Naples with two runner friends (including Jean-Simon Desgagnés, who is on the Canadian team as well). As my mother and my brother will be at the event, I will certainly take the opportunity to spend a day with them to show them what is most beautiful around Naples. The island of Capri and the city of Sorrento are simply beautiful! It’s always great to stop to visit the places where competitions take us to fully enjoy the experience!

4. What are your personal and/or team goals for this Universiade?

On a personal level, I want to reach the final and make the top 10. But anything is possible in a final!

5. Do you have a nickname in your sport?

Not really, but many say my last name is an interesting coincidence, as if it was all pre-destined!

6. What are you listening to right now / what is your pump-up music?

Surprisingly, I don’t really have a favourite music genre. I often adapt to the music of others.

7. Current favourite TV show?

Grey’s Anatomy! Luckily, the seasons just keep coming!

8. What message would you like to share with Team Canada followers / the U SPORTS community?

Always look to have fun, because the experience will be best if you’re having fun!
