Women’s Track & Field News

RICHMOND HILL, Ont. (U SPORTS) – The Guelph Gryphons are looking to defend their men’s and women’s titles and capture their fourth straight title sweep when the 2022 USPORTS Track and Field Championships open this week. The event will be held for the first time at the Irving Oil Field House in Saint John, N.B., and will be hosted by the University of New Brunswick.

While Guelph swept their way through the OUA championship meet two weeks ago, they will be joined by another pair of teams who swept their respective conference championships: the Laval Rouge et Or from the RSEQ, and the AUS champion Dalhousie Tigers. In Canada West, meanwhile, the honours were split between the Saskatchewan Huskies, who won the women’s division, and the Calgary Dinos, who were the men’s champions.

Action gets underway at 2:30 p.m. (Atlantic time) on Thursday, March 31 and runs through Saturday, April 2. The final awards ceremony is set for 5:40 p.m. on Saturday.

A championship schedule and conference by conference previews are available below. Live-streaming coverage is available on cbcsports.ca and CBC Gem, with a field camera available at USPORTS.ca
