Regina’s Welburn and Windsor’s Atkinson named U SPORTS track & field athletes of the week
The Dalhousie Tigers (28 points) have made their way into the Top 10 in U SPORTS women’s track and field. The Saskatchewan Huskies (71.5 points) jump to No. 2 for the week ending January 29, 2023.
The Tigers put together solid results in the New Brunswick Open, as they compiled wins in 23 events. Saskatchewan and Regina (32.5 points) ascended one spot each, moving up to second and seventh position respectively.
The Manitoba Bisons (27 points), who fell from No. 7 to No. 9 will host the Jim Daly Classic on Feb 3-4, where Top-10 teams like the Regina Cougars and Saskatchewan Huskies will be in action.
