Hannah Blair swept the women’s pentathlon event at the York Open in Toronto last weekend. The kinesiology major won all five events in the combined event and racked up a total of 3,853 points, nearly 500 ahead of the silver medallist, Audrey Goddard of Western. Blair’s score is the second-highest recorded in U SPORTS this season and auto-qualified the fourth-year student for the U SPORTS championship in Saskatoon later this month.

Third-year sprinter Emmett Bravakis won two races at the Robert J. Kane Invitational at Cornell University on Saturday, February 4. The computer engineering major clocked a time of 22.19 seconds to win the 200-metre dash while also winning the men's 300 metres in 34.01 seconds. Bravakis' 300-metre time ranks him first among U SPORTS sprinters this season and second on U of T's all-time record list.
