U SPORTS is proud to announce Fox 40 has extended its partnership as title sponsor of all 21 Coach of the Year Awards until 2024

The Fox 40 Coach of the Year will continue to be honoured for the next three seasons at all U SPORTS national championships during the pre-championship All-Canadian Awards in team sports and post-competition award recognitions in individual sports. The announcement was made Friday to kick off celebrations for National Coaches Week, running Sept. 18-26.

Ron_Foxcroft_Ref_Image[2].jpg (416 KB)The Fox 40 Pealess Whistle was invented in 1987 by Ron Foxcroft – the first and only Canadian referee in NCAA basketball, who also officiated at the U SPORTS level – and has become the industry standard across numerous sports.

Initiated in 2019, the U SPORTS Fox 40 Coach of the Year Awards will be presented during the 2021-22 season as follows. Award presentation formats to be determined based on health and safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition to their Coach of the Year title sponsorship, Fox 40 will also serve as an Official Supplier – providing all coaches with lanyards, whistles, clipboards and custom notebooks at all U SPORTS National Championships – continuing its longstanding partnership since 2011 with the national brand of university sports in Canada.
