Regina’s Welburn and Windsor’s Atkinson named U SPORTS track & field athletes of the week
The McMaster Marauders (32 points) found themselves in the Top 10 in U SPORTS men’s and track field. The Guelph Gryphons (124 points) extended their lead at the top of the rankings for yet another week.
Manitoba (65.5 points) and Toronto (62 points) swapped positions, with the Bisons at No. 2. and the Varsity Blues at No. 3. The Laval Rouge Et Or (45 points) had the biggest jump moving from No. 8 to No. 4 this week.
Regina, Windsor and Montréal are tied at No. 7 with 29 points each, while Saskatchewan and Western share No. 10 with 29 points.
The Marauders, along with the top-seeded Gryphons and third-place Toronto Blues will be participating in the York Open on Feb 3.
