Women’s Volleyball
The Ottawa Gee-Gees and Laval Rouge et Or picked up important victories to move up in the final national rankings of 2019.
In women’s basketball, the Gee-Gees (9-2) defeated crosstown rival Carleton (9-2) by a score of 66-49 last Wednesday, to move up to No. 3, swapping places in the rankings with the Ravens.
On the ice, Ottawa (12-4-1) beat UQTR (13-3-2) in men’s hockey one week ago, holding serve at No. 7, while dropping the previously-ranked No. 8 Patriotes to No. 10.
Finally on the court, the Rouge et Or (8-3) swept Sherbrooke (6-5) on Friday night to climb to No. 7 from No. 9.
As the exam and holiday break begins, all U SPORTS national leaders remain intact heading into 2020. Top 10 rankings will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 6.
