Dalhousie’s Lucy Glen-Carter and Sherbrooke’s Zachary Hollands have been named the U SPORTS volleyball players of the week for the period ending March 5, 2023.

Lucy Glen-Carter is the U SPORTS player of the week in women’s volleyball after an impressive 77-point weekend against the Acadia Axewomen. In the Tigers' first match in the AUS finals, Glen-Carter collected 26.5 points with match-highs of 25 kills, 16 digs and one service ace in a 3-2 defeat. On Friday, the senior earned 28.5 points, again with match-highs of 27 kills, 18 digs, and three assists to help force game three in the finals. In the last match, Glen-Carter received 22 points and a match-high 19 kills. The Torontonian also added 18 digs, three service aces, and two assists to earn Championship MVP in the Tigers' 3-2 win to claim the championship title.

Zachary Hollands, Sherbrooke

Academic Program: Electrical Engineering

Sherbrooke’s Zachary Hollands is the U SPORTS men’s volleyball player of the week after the second-year outside hitter led the Vert & Or to a series sweep against the Montréal Carabins. The electrical engineering student had a total of 30 kills in both games and was a crucial receiver and defensive player. Holland was a major force in Sherbrooke’s RSEQ championship win.
