Women’s Wrestling News

All 10 No.1-ranked U SPORTS programs held serve this past weekend as the fall term draws to a close.

Heading into the final weekend of competition of the first half of the 2018-19 campaign, UNB (men’s hockey), Montreal (women’s hockey), Carleton (men’s basketball), Laval (women’s basketball), Trinity Western (men’s volleyball), Calgary (women’s volleyball), UBC (men’s and women’s swimming) and Brock (men’s and women’s wrestling) each remain in top spot.

The final Top 10 rankings of 2018 will be released next Tuesday.

New this season, U SPORTS is implementing the ELO Rating System for the calculation of its weekly national rankings. Powered by RankR, ELO’s unique algorithm blends a statistical calculation with customized variables that is adaptable across a range of sports. For men’s hockey, it will be combined with the results of the media panel balloting (each weighted 50%) to produce the final top 10. For more information, click here.
