Myah Phillips led the way for the Huskies last weekend at the Lethbridge Pronghorns duals and invitational. In Friday’s dual meet, she defeated Erin Geddie of Calgary by fall in 1:53. In Saturday’s invitational event, she needed just 36 seconds to score a 10-0 win by technical superiority over Jaedyn Boisjoli of Calgary in her first match. In her second match, she clinched gold with another win by technical superiority, this time by a score of 12-2 over Deana Eastman of Alberta.

The Huskies return to the match on Feb. 9 when the Canada West championships in Calgary get underway..

Brantley Saar, Calgary

Brantley Saar of the Calgary Dinos had an exciting weekend at the Pronghorn Duals and Pronghorn Invitational this past weekend. The man from Lethbridge left an impression on his opponents on Friday when facing off against the Pronghorns where Saar won the match by Fall in just 57 seconds. The third-year science major went back to the mats for the Lethbridge Invitational on Saturday where Saar went 2-0 to take home first place in the 82-kg category. Saar won the semifinals 7-6 by decision, where he then won it all by fall in 1:04.

The Dinos are back in action as they host the Canada West Championships in two weeks.
