Men's Wrestling Player of the Week: Nicholas Hooper, Calgary

Nicholas Hooper, a first-year wrestler for the Calgary Dinos, got his varsity career off to a perfect start, winning 15-5 in a dual against Saskatchewan. Later in the weekend, Hooper won gold at the Dinos Invitational in the 76-kg class, Emmanual Olapade (a 2022 PanAm Championships gold medallist) in the final with a score of 8-4 outscoring opponents. Altogether, he outscored his opponents with a cumulative score of 53-9.
Women's Wrestling Player of the Week: Lilah Fraser, Algoma

Lilah Fraser, second year wrestler for the Algoma Thunderbirds, placed first at women’s 83kg at McMaster open. Fraser had three wins, all by fall. On the way to a gold medal, Lilah defeated last year’s U SPORTS bronze medallist as well as the 6th place finisher from last year's championships at this weight class.
