OUA
As a unique and challenging 2020-21 season comes to an end, Ontario University Athletics (OUA) is pleased to celebrate the creative work done behind the scenes from many of our member institutions during this year's C.H.A.M.P. Awards. And while this year’s awards may be different, the spirit behind them remains the same.
Since the 2014-15 season, the conference’s C.H.A.M.P. Awards have provided a platform for the OUA to celebrate and honour members’ achievements in marketing and promotion. Starting with four awards in its inaugural edition, they have since evolved into a remarkable lineup of 12 categories, each of which were honoured during the most recent 2019-20 online celebration.
From achievements in event hosting and fan engagement to social media management and content creation, the C.H.A.M.P. Awards have become a pillar of the OUA’s year-end celebrations, and while the 2020-21 edition will not feature the typical slate of award categories, OUA President & CEO Gord Grace explains that the opportunity still exists to commemorate the content that was produced during the season.
The 2020-21 C.H.A.M.P. Award winners will be recognized on the OUA’s online channels throughout the week of May 4th to May 7th, as the conference gets set to spotlight several of the memorable member initiatives from the past year.
