StFX Athletics | X-Men and X-Women honor 96 U SPORTS Academic All-Canadians
A total of 186 Carabins student-athletes are among the academic stars for the 2019-2020 season. This is not only an increase of 18 athletes from last year, but above all a record number of students honored!
Overally, 36% of the 523 Carabins who carved out a spot in this prestigious ranking by maintaining an average of 80% or more in their respective field of study, while continuing to practice a high-level sport.
MARIE-LOU LAPOINTE STANDS OUT
Among the Carabins' academic stars, swimmer and social work student Marie-Lou Lapointe stood out even more as she was also named to the U SPORTS Top 8 Academic All-Canadians.
This is the second year in a row that a student-athlete from the UdeM Sports Excellence Program has won this nomination and the third time in the past four seasons.
