Antony Auclair became the first alumni of the Laval Rouge et Or football team on Sunday to win the Super Bowl, after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Kansas Chiefs 31-9.
As a result, Buccaneers' tight end became the first player in history to win both the Vanier Cup and the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Auclair also becomes the third U SPORTS student-athlete to win the Super Bowl, after guard Dr. Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (McGill) with the Chiefs in 2020 and punter John Ryan (Regina) with the Seattle Seahawks in 2014.
