An assistant coach with the Broncos, Cross spent five seasons with the Lions from 2011-16 and graduated with his degree in kinesiology and health science in 2016. In his fourth season in Dec. 2014, Cross suited up for the U SPORTS Toronto Selects against Team Canada’s World Junior squad.

The Broncos were on route to play the Nipawin Hawks in Game 5 of the SJHL semifinal Friday night when their bus was hit by a semi-trailer – killing 15 people on board and injuring 14 others.

Tributes continue to pour in from across the U SPORTS community since Friday’s crash.

A vigil will be held this afternoon at the University of Saskatchewan. Everyone is invited.
