UBC fly-half Savannah Bauder has been named U SPORTS women’s rugby player of the week for the period ending Oct. 2, 2022. The Canada West Rugby 15s Player of the Week went off on Sunday, notching five tries and nine converts as the Thunderbirds destroyed the Alberta Pandas, 85-12.
Bauder's speed and agility were too much for the Pandas to handle as the North Vancouver native tore through Alberta defenders to put up an astounding 43 points.
The third-year arts student worked efficiently, succeeding on nine of 11 conversion attempts.
