Weekend Watch: Lions begin women’s field hockey OUA title defence at home
The StFX X-Women (women’s rugby), Cape Breton Capers (Men’s Soccer) and Ottawa Gee-Gees (women’s soccer) maintain their No.1 positions in this week’s Top 10 Tuesday rankings.

The X-Women opened defence of their AUS and U SPORTS titles with a 73-5 victory over the UPEI Panthers in head coach Mike Cavanagh’s 100th career win. StFX hosts Saint Mary’s in its home opener Saturday.
On the soccer pitch, the Capers and Gee-Gees both went undefeated on the weekend. Cape Breton began their quest for a fourth straight conference title with 2-1 and 1-0 victories over UNB and UPEI respectively, while Ottawa drew Toronto 1-1 before defeating Trent 3-0 on the road.
The Capers visit Dalhousie and Mount Allison this weekend, and the Gee-Gees host Laurentian and Nipissing.
Top 10 rankings will begin in men’s and women’s cross country next Tuesday, Sept. 17.
