The FISU Volunteer Leaders Academy (FVLA) is an educational event that serves as a key part of the international sports and volunteering movement. It is usually held in the capital of youth and volunteering of Russia, the Summer Universiade city of Kazan.
The mission of the Academy is to position FISU as a unique international organization uniting students of universities of the world and to develop University Sport through National and Continental University Sports Federations. The aim of the Academy is to create an international platform for the training of student leaders capable of organizing the work of volunteer centres in their nations.
The 2021 edition will be the first of its kind to be held in a hybrid format, both online and onsite.
The introductory session will be held online from 19-20 June 2021, where selected participants from around the world will be introduced to the International University Sports Federation, its events and activities, as well as the leadership.
